So I was cruising on the freeway the other day and go to downshift when i hit traffic. Well pulling from 5th to 4th is usually quite easy, but i really had to yank on it to get it to 4th. Then I try to **** to 3rd and same thing. All gears are very hard to shift into and out of. Then when I stopped at the light I JERK it into first and go to take off and it was like I was reving to 5k's and just duming the clutch. There was all kinds of wheel hop goin on everytime I would take off in first or second. So I check the tranny fluid first thing and it was full. Then I took it to Honda immediatley after, seemed quite serious so I let the pros deal with it. They tell me it is a bent pressure plate or bad syncros. They say to replace the clutch for sure and that might fix it or change clutch and put in new syncros. What should I do??

 

Have any friends who are familair with trannis? Honda can get expensive. But if you are changing out the clutch go ACt or CM, whatever you prefer, but id say have someone u know look at it before u go repairing. With honda, u might as well buy another used tranny then paying them for all that stuff.

 

Highly doubt that its ALL of your syncros. Did this just happen all of the sudden? or has it been a gradual thing?
Gotta be the pressureplate and/or clutch.

It just all of a sudden starting happening. The clutch has had a wining noise to it every time the clutch pedal is pushed in the past few months though. Would that have anything to do with it?
