How can you tell if clutch is going bad in 5sp car? How long can you drive with bad clutch?
My car is not running smooth in 1st and 2 gear right when I am releasing clutch paddle.

My clutch lasted 220,000 miles. It really depends on the driver in how long the clutch will last. Have tried replacing the trans fluid? When my clutch was going bad it was squealing when I released the clutch. Also, you may feel the clutch slipping (rev goes up when hit the gas).
