screws holding rotor to hub
Im trying to get the philips screw holding the rotor to the hub. I tried using an impact driver and they still won't budge. Does anyone have any tricks that they use to take those bolts off? This is a rotor over hub setup on a 6th gen btw.
drill them out, they aren't 100% necessary. when the wheel is on, it's held in place but the wheel
I used a hand impact driver and they came off in one hit.

Yeah I have been using a hand impact driver for an hour and getting nowhere. Last time I tried to take them off I stripped and had to drill. Anyways im going to see how far my patience holds til I bring out the drill again.
My craftsman impact driver has an arrow point right to loosen and left to tighten so I guess I'm using it correctly. Either way I did try it both ways to make sure I wasn't being stupid, but still no luck.

I agree with 00prelude-type-s... Are you sure it's turning in the correct direction.. Because I took two rotors off in the shop and I did it by hand with a Phillips Head Screwdriver..
Or was it magic??...

Those screws are in there tight. Probably rusted in on most cars. When you use your impact driver use a baby sledge or any BFH and it WILL get those off.
I believe they make a special tool used for that. It's like a screwdriver/hammer kind of tool. You hit it like a hammer and the screw driver turns at the same time. So try finding it at an auto parts store.
