Default screws holding rotor to hub

Im trying to get the philips screw holding the rotor to the hub. I tried using an impact driver and they still won't budge. Does anyone have any tricks that they use to take those bolts off? This is a rotor over hub setup on a 6th gen btw.

Heat them with a propane torch

PB Blaster

drill them out, they aren't 100% necessary. when the wheel is on, it's held in place but the wheel

thats what i did when i got my brembo cross drilled slots, i went to honda and bought new screws for about 35 cents each then drilled them out. come to find out, when i went to screw them on they wouldn't fit since the shop gave me rotors for a 92+ lude. oh well, you dont need them anyways, your wheel will hold the rotors on.

Yeah I have been using a hand impact driver for an hour and getting nowhere. Last time I tried to take them off I stripped and had to drill. Anyways im going to see how far my patience holds til I bring out the drill again.

Are you sure that your impact is turning the right way?

My craftsman impact driver has an arrow point right to loosen and left to tighten so I guess I'm using it correctly. Either way I did try it both ways to make sure I wasn't being stupid, but still no luck.

when i sheared 4 of the 5 lugs off, i had to take the entire assembly apart, the screws came right out for me... it wasnt too hard to do...

I agree with 00prelude-type-s... Are you sure it's turning in the correct direction.. Because I took two rotors off in the shop and I did it by hand with a Phillips Head Screwdriver..

Or was it magic??...

Those screws are in there tight. Probably rusted in on most cars. When you use your impact driver use a baby sledge or any BFH and it WILL get those off.

I believe they make a special tool used for that. It's like a screwdriver/hammer kind of tool. You hit it like a hammer and the screw driver turns at the same time. So try finding it at an auto parts store.

You can use a hammer and chisel to turn them too.
