Default manual brakes?

how would it affect the braking and feel if you were to remove all the power assist mechanics of the stock integra braking system?

You would probably get better feel, but the pedal effort would go through the roof. Vacuum assist multiplies the force you apply by quite a good amount. I also think unassisted brakes in a street car could be quite dangerous; i.e. being unable to apply enough pressure in an emergency situation. I also believe it would get flagged on a state inspection.

i can understand where effort might be increased but i mean youre sitting in the seat and your using your feet so even if it took a lil bit extra effort any grown man should have even strength to do whatever it took

but seriously tho when youre in an emergency situation you slam the pedal anyway

I don't mean a little increase in effort, I mean BIG! You'll have to mash the hell out of the pedal just to stop normally, never mind in an emergency. I'm talking serious workout here. It takes a lot of force to slow the kind of momentum even a small car has.

Besides, what's the point if you get gigged for it an inspection time? I'd definitely find out before you take out your vacuum assist. A fully functional brake system is a requirement; I'm guessing that not having assist would be illegal.

I think you're going back six or seven decades with that.

They were ditched for good reason.

driven a old IVECO truck with manual brakes. you have to practically stand up on the brake to stop the freakin truck sometimes. That was for a 8000lbs+ truck, but I seriously doubt you'd want to drive a car with manual brakes.

dude you want to keep the brake booster, trust me. without it your gonna have to literally stand on your brakes....and it still will brake alot worse than with vaccuum assist.

Yes, for different reasons. The truck is very heavy, but it doesn't go very fast. Your Teg is considerably lighter, but much faster. Mass multiplied by Acceleration equals Force. So you can wind up with similar (if not greater) amount of momentum to stop.

its called overselling the car, just like how theyll state tinted windows...most people think of tinted windows as blacked out but tinted just means any slight shade other than clear

Why would you want to get rid of the power assist to your brakes, it is a bad idea to just get rid of the vacuum to the booster/mastercylinder when they weren't designed for it? I wouldn't suggest using manual brakes unless you get a mastercylinder that was designed for non vacuum assist. There are a few aftermarket companies that make them.
