Its really easy, you don't have to drain your oil. Just get the spark plug wires out of the way & take off a bunch of small bolts/nuts.

Unless your car is fairly new you might want to have a new gasket & spark plug seal rings. After a few years the old gasket isn't gonna be real soft any more, then it won't seal when you put it back on.

Why do you want to take it off?

when you put it back on it doesnt have to be super tight because the valve cover studs can break off very easily, trust me..it isnt fun. check in your chiltons or helms manual for tightneing specs (should be around 7 ft-lbs.

Hey, it is as easy as hell to do, get a new gasket, and some gasket sealer and go after it

Yes 7 lbs. I broke to of the studs, thinking " I'll jus tighten them down like spark plugs. Cost me about $15 for the studs.

-take off grounding wire
-take out spark plugs
-take off spark plug wires
-take off about 4-6 bolts (depends on which f22 you have)
-optional----take off oil cap so that you can pull it off with you finger in it)
slowly take it off you do not want to rip or damage the rubber gasket.

if the rubber is really hard and sorta brittel you might as well spend about 15 buck and get a new valve cover gasket set at you local honda dealership.
