90-93 integra seats in 90-91 hatch
The Integra seats do fit in the 88-91 Civic with modification. I used 90 Integra seats, 94+ Integra seats might be easier to install. This mod was not easy. From the Integra you will need all parts/railing that come with the seats. You need to remove one side of the railings from the Integra seat and swap the original Civic railing to it. After you do this you must drill new holes to mount the railings. Make sure you remove the seat belt holder from the Integra seat also or the seats will not fit in your car. To make the seat look a little nicer you can add you original Civic plastic covers on the side "you will need to drill and cut". Once the seats are together you will need to put them in your car. The first thing you will notice is that you will have a 2+ inch gap in the rear of the seats. To correct this you must get some spacers "hardware stores sell them" I used 2 of them. Once the seat is seated correctly you will have to enlarge the original holes on the mounting brackets. I do not recommended redrilling your floor board since this will not be as strong as your factory.
has anyone tried swapping the whole lower bucket from the EF seats into the DA seats? i've seen a guy put s2k seats into his eg or ek (can't remember) this way, 'cause the bottom frames (bucket) are almost exactly the same shape, they just have different holes for the mounting points of the brackets and rails.
i'm going to be putting a 92 gs-r interior into my wife's EF, and i'm interested in knowing how to do it right. also, what about the rear seats?
