what goes in the 4 covered holes by the e-brake? are there switches that go in there? where can you get them?

 

nothing....that's the answer.
you can put switches in there, I know my best friend put his nitrous switch in one of them, but I have heard of neon light switches, etc going in also

 

i think the factory fog light switch is one.

 

those are the access points to the fasteners that hold the armrest/console in place, if I am not mistaken.

 

are there any switch that would fit in there perfectly, or is anything that goes there going to be a hack job?

 

you are mistaken,
there is nothing behind there.
to remove the armrest, you just unscrew the 4 screws on the side, and remove the 2 bolts in the middle.

 

might be a hack job. take them out and look under neith. it's kinda hard to cut a good square to have nice switches. you have to drill a hole and have those ugly big plastic light up ones. but if you like em...go at it. I tried to buy just the switch and the dealer said i would have to buy the foglights to get the switch...so maybe its different now..that was in 94 when i asked about that.

 

thats what I have there, OEM fog light switch. The other 3 are still empty.

 

one of mine is my little flashing red light, came that way b/c of the stock clifford alarm that came w/ the car

 

I know the foglight switch goes there. I'm not sure what else goes there, but I plan on relocating my power door lock switch to one of those and replacing the switches on the doors with Integra RS trim panels. I would also like to add a momentary switch that will flash my brakelights, in case someone rides my @$$ and I don't feel like cancelling cruise control or whatever.

go to a junk yard and you sould find a switch on some of the 2nd gen tegs there. It is for a fog light though. I myself already have one for my 98...but procrastinated on buying the fog lights for now.

it kinda looks like that...but the foglight symbol is the button and takes the whole switch...ill take a pic and show it to you guys...looks very much like that though. wow...pretty quick at taking a pic and producing results man. good sh*t! I think ill stick with this forum. Im beginning to like it here.

 

Does anyone have a spare one? The guy who sold me his car cut it out for a fog light switch, so now it's just a hole. So I have 3 in and one ugly cut hole

 

Just go to the dealer and buy another one. I'm sure it's so cheap that if anyone sent it to you here on HT, the shipping would be more than what the dealer would charge.

But then again....we all know about those crazy dealer prices.

This is a pic of my second gen... sorry the switch isn't easier to see, but if you look to the right of the steering column you will see three switches. The one closest to the column is the factory foglight switch.

In Canada, the Acura El used 2 of the 4 slots on the armrest for heated seat switches.
