No Kyb AGX for 88???
I cant find Kyb Agx for the rear of my 88. Am I just blind or is this reality?
They have some for the fornt end, but what about the rear?
Can I use Agx type R shocks, is there such a thing?

the 88 ef was a bastard year ... they had shitty rear suspemsion. They changed it out in 89. Your going to have alittle trouble finding performance shocks for the rear.

The 88 ef si was the BEST year not the bastard year... after all the ITR rear suspension was based on the setup of the 88 si. (passive rear steering I believe it's called).
What if you got the shocks for the ITR rear? would that work on the 88 rear?
koni makes shocks for the 88 crx, but they are 500 bux
or if u were to get tiens
all crx's in japan have the eyeball style shocks
just 89+ is different
*shrug*

KYB does not make an eye mount AGX, they only have the GR-2's. So there is no app for an ITR either. Even if there were it would be a little taller than the CRX, and not ideal on a lowered car. If you can afford the koni's, they are definitely the way to go. True you can change the rear to the newer 89-91 setup, but you would need the arms and the linkage for the rear sway bar (if Si). tokico makes shocks for the 88 also that are decent.

so your saying the itr suspension is shitty also, cuz it has the same rear suspension as 88. from my own experience 88 are better on corners than 89-91 models (both stock)

Guys, check the link in my sig. for a hookup on 88 CRX/Civic Koni adjustable shocks. You won't be dissapointed in the price

Anyhow, Honda changed the rear suspension for all 89+ US CRX/Civics because people kept spinning the cars. The 89+ style made that harder to do. Good for grandma, bad for the rest of us.
i had an 88 with tokiko 5-ways, it crashed. i bought a 91 si and when i swapped the parts over i had to swap the lower control arm. obviously the car handles much better now, porbably more because of the shocks/springs but some beleive also because of the lower control arm.
