Yeah, thats me. The Geo was a fun project but there was no way it was gonna be
competative in Hotrod or Quick. So I decided to cut my losses, sold it and am
building a new car for Sport FWD and Pro Am.
I'm hopeing this is gonna be a class that will have big turnouts.....

That was the best part about racing the Geo, most would laugh when they first
saw it. But usually not after seeing it run. My faverite times at the track were
the V8 street nights, nothing makes you feel better then smoking a big V8 with
a Geo!
Thanks for including me with the "fast" guys, not sure if I really earned it but
thanks none the less. I'm just another backyard racer....

THOSE were the days, I could run that car all year and never work on it. Then I
added more power and never STOPPED working on it!!

Rogers "i got whooped by a storm" story:
i remember a few years ago lining up against you. i felt good cause my zc was capable of beating some GSRs at the time so im looking really good out there. then i find myself lined up with steve. i knew the car was fast looking at the slicks but id never acutally seen him run. needless to say i knew i was in for a vehicular *** raping as soon as he did his burnout! i did my usual low 15 and had the best seat in the house for his 12.xx run!
i dont know if you remember steve but we raced in an idrc bracket final at maple grove. i think i redeemed myself that day.
and
for sticking with that car for as long as you did and going that fast. (10.0 right?) welcome to honda-tech and see you at the track.

Oh yeah, I remember that one. It still hurts just thinking about it!
You broke out by .004 or something and I was out like .008.

We are eventually going to build one as soon as we finish our current project. Right now we are trying to find a cheap chassis to throw our hot rod motor into, hoping to achieve 9's in Sport FWD!

I about fell out of the bleachers in disbelief the first time I saw the Storm run up in NJ. Way to be original with that car.. big props
Was it an Isuzu motor or something..? I remember seeing it.. or is that the factory motor for that car?

I really think high 9's is gonna be what it's gonna take to win in this class. If you
think about it, that's unreal for a street FWD car. Just hope the new Neon is gonna
be up to it. It has alot going for it but I have to say this, in stock trim this thing
is a POS.
Now the Geo was a whole differant story, it's best run was on a stone stock Isuzu
Impulse bottom end. Stock crank, rods and cast pistons! The japanise seem to go
way overboard compared to the american stuff. The Neon stock might be able to
hold 250hp, the Geo was around 450, maybe more.

so steve you think you are going to be ready for this season? you still got the back up street impulse for bracket racing? See you soon. I am working on the Corrado as we speak....getting it ready for 150+ rules. We will see if we can do it with an 8 valve first. then more valves.
I have my fingers crossed, Forward Motion is helping me out alot so I have to
say a definite maybe for the first race of the year...
The thing is this setup is totally differant then what I am used to. Going up almost
a full liter in displacement should be interesting, can you say torque. Working out
the torque converter, gearing ,tire size, suspention, NO2 and the new Haltech with
it's huge pile of built in tricks is gonna take some time to get right. I hope to be on
my game by mid season. One thing that should help once the car is together is
being able to troble shoot things on the street, an inspected race car has it's plus's!
There's no backup right now except a street beater Neon, guess I could put a little
shot on it and have some fun.. Just about all the Isuzu stuff is gone.
