upping the y8 compression with d16a1's?
i am not exactly sure what the stock y8 compression is (10.?:1), but i have been reading about upping it with d16a1 pistons to 12.6. i know this is pretty high, so what kind of mods are needed to use this power without a blowout (cams, timing, etc)? also, can you still run 91-94 octane on this?
anyone that has these on their y8, i would like to hear your options.

yep. that's correct. it really depends on what altitude you are at however.
I have a friend running ls/vtec with 13:1 CR at 4500 ft elavation, running on 91 octane and timing is not retarted at all...
that is the strangest I have seen.
if it pings, just dump more fuel in, go higher octane or retard ignition timing.
