You're not disabling the power locks, you're removing the silver lock tab that is easily reachable by the method you mentioned.

You need RS door handle bezels, about $7 each from the dealer.

Pry out the screw cover on your current bezel, take out the screw, and remove the existing bezel, being careful to note how you fed it around the door pull handle. Unplug the lock tab mechanism and tape it behind the door panel.

Reinstall the RS bezel in the reverse of the original. Your power locks will still function, but you won't have the silver tab to actuate them. Some folks have wired in an alternate switch somewhere. Best I've seen is to use a GS-R sunroof switch in the factory location.

Sell your Hype R bezels to some ricer who thinks they're special.

Just unplug the switches and leave them in so the thieves will waste their time trying to figure out wat's wrong..so you can run up on them and beat them.
There's slim jim designed to open up hondas (and others) regardless of the kind of door locks..but I'm not gonna get into that..

It would be so much cooler if you could wire up your nawwzz to the lock switch!

Seriously though, it would be pretty cool to have something wired up to it...couldn't be that hard!

If you just disconnect the wire, then those tabs won't activate any locks anyway right?

Without the swtich located somewhere else, how are you able to unlock/lock the doors when you are inside the car?

What's stopping them from using the manual switch?

It's much harder to get to that switch by going through the window.

The lock mechanisims are exactly the same. The only difference is the addition of the power lock solenoid. I just posted something in the Civic forum (yeah yeah yeah, you ITR guyes NEVER slum it in there ) About protecting the lock mechanisim. responding a guy with a 95 EX who got broken into.

If you cant find the post, e-mail me.
