What do you guys think of that header? It seems like it should perform well with the stepped primaries and equalization tube.

IMO it performs very good
the diff on aceleration after 2k are noticeable
i like the design , the welds are very well done, the header its good.. only draw back is that the paint fades off.... other than that its a greate header..i like...
IMO does same power gain as a DC and payed 1/4 price for it....

i had just put mine on last week ,... it was a big dif over stock very well worth the price, and for the paint coming off it was ment to flake off, its for rust prevention during shipping.

o2 sensor is located by the collector on the chikara header. i highly reccomend you switch to a heated o2 sensor.

swock downpipe doughnut to cat will not work. its too small. mine is from a ford thunderbird. 2" ID.
the chikara header is very good.

100 shiped for a chikara? their 128 shipped brand new from summit. get a universal 3 wire o2 sensor. power, ground, o2 signal. ground the ground, power to a switched 12v source, o2 signal to the ecu.

The stock header gasket will work...and i used my stock doughnut gasket as well.

As for the performance of the header...i really dont think its that good. I felt a slight improvement over the stock exhaust mani...but it wasnt that big of a difference. The welds really arent that nice, the runners need to be cleaned up a good bit, the collector is ****, and its made out of really thin material. Overall id say its a good header for someone on an extreme budget...but i would save a little longer and get something nicer. As of right now the Chikara header is holding me back alot...but what can you really expect for $125?

As for the comment that it outperforms the DC headers...or even that they perform as well as them...well thats just simply not true. DC headers really arent that great IMO...but id sure as hell take one over my POS Chikara anyday.

Cool, well i got this 92-95 chikara with HTC coating for less than 50 bucks shipped, SO, as long as it's a tad bit better then stock, that's cool with me.
