Default help my cam seal is leaking

if you can help plz do. my cam seal is leaking the (circle black rubber thing on the left corner of the valve cover. im wondering how much it would cost or if i could fix it myself.IF you got any info please help me out



this pix doesnt help much but im just telling you where it is.

The part is like $7 at your local Acura dealer. Follow these instructions to replace it:

its a easy fix...

1. go to the dealer and buy a new one...~$5

2. take the valve cover off

3. take the cam rail off

4.take cam cap off on that side

5. pull the old seal out and throw the new in along with some high temp silicon

6. put everything back on in reverse order and DO NOT OVER TORQUE the bolts

if you do a search you can even find pictures and TQ#s

damn my cam seal is leaking too on the exhaust side..now i know what to fix and how to fix it..thanksssssss

Yeah.. and the new ones have O rings so they are less prone to leaking

just replaced mine today... only about $4 from Carland Acura (bought it with a ton of other stuff). I pulled out my old one (rubber w/o o-rings) and threw in the new plastic one with o-ring.
