ok i know some people have tvs in the teg but i want one in the dash where my cd player is. if anyone has some installation info or pics please post. also let me know if any mods had to be done or if it was a straigh install.
Here you go. This is my Alpine unit. I took out the ash tray, and cigarrette lighter, then made custom pieces and wrapped them in the matching "pleather". No other mods. Edit- yeah, I know the carbon fiber is rice. But I cant take it out without leaving nasty marks.

hey gmoore379. thanks for the pic. do you ever hit the screen when you shift. also where did you get the dash kit from. i have been looking for a carbon fiber kit for my car. please hit me back. thanks
Hmm, I cant remember where I got that kit. Its a small company, they have the advertisments in the back of SCC I think, Just the "slither ones" that only run like 1/4 of the way across the page. Ive never hit the screen, you could move it up, but my knee sometimes hits it, not hits it, but sometimes I rest my knee there, and dont know its on it.

I think the best idea is in the visor, if you're not going to be putting your turbo timer there. Why?.....because a cop can see a tv in your dash when he walks up next to your car, which is illegal because a tv can't be in line of sight of the driver....and because you can flip the visor up and that way thieves don't see a tv in your car making it less likely for them to break in....all i know is i am putting my turbo timer in my driver's visor and a 7" lcd in the passenger visor....good luck
they can be in line of the driver...how can you explain all the flip out TVs? They all have a ebrake and foot brake switch so you can only watch the TV (for some use the controls) with the parking brake engaged. but everyone that has them use switches to simulate the parking brake/foot brake sequence, like in my truck
. but it's not illegal to have it open/on or the "saftey" disabled.

I know that it can be in the line of sight of the driver if it's not on, but most people don't drive around with their tv off b/c they want people to see it or b/c their passengers are watching it. I just wanted to give him another option.

or do you mean like "on" watching fast and the furious 2 knock you got from the internet (j/k)...that is illegal...in the worst way
haharegardless..i hope we helped you out on deciding on what you want to do with the teg.
i've got to agree with putting a tv in your visor if you're getting one. less risk for tickets and theft.
