I'm glad to see this isn't a WTB thread in the ITR forum.

my exhaust is all rusted (92 GS-R) and i want an exhaust i can hear that isn't a canister-style. i like the look of the comptech and world sport exhausts, and the type R, but the comptech and world sports cost a fuckload!

btw, i'm using a custom piping and all i need is the muffler. i dont want it N1 loud, i just want it louder than stock and noticeable.

I wish the stock one was a little louder, I like semi loud but not whiney. Is there anything to do to the stock exhaust to make it louder? That can be changed back if wanted to i.e. remove cat?

Remove the resonator and have a muffler shop put flanges on it so it can be installed and removed as desired. should give you a nice sound boost with out to many negatives. HTH
