need shocks...which ones
need shocks to replace stocks....dont want adjustable..what are a good choice...i dont know the exact springs or rate of the springs bought the car as is...but has a one to one and a half finger gap in wheel well....i know this is not stock height cause compared to all other stock tegs i sit lower....any help is appreciated...
Koni Reds, KYB AGX, Tokico HP all non adjustable shocks. Hope you don't have extreme spring rates because you can make short work of shocks if they can't handle the spring rate.

the shocks listed above aren't nonadjustable in the sense that you can adjust the dampening force (i.e. AGX). I think the original poster wanted to find decent OE replacement shocks which are inexpensive. In that case, he can't go wrong with KYB GR-2's. I had them paired with eibach sportlines on my first teg. The ride was awesome, not too stiff.

The car is lowered, therefore I would not recommend an OEM replacement shock, as it will wear out in not too long a period of time. Koni reds may be a good choice for you. You can't go wrong with the AGX's, even though they are adjustable, they have a decent price.

Just got with some KYB AGXs they will run you around 300 bucks if you look around i think retail is 375 or somewhere in that price range. their worth it. i also have tokico blue and their for a stock or smoother feeling.
First find out what kinda springs you have dude. Take a look at them and see if there is any writing on them or anything? How does it ride now? It might not be the struts, the springs might just be $100 special crap although i would change the struts anyway.
ive checked the springs..no writing on them, color is black,as far as the ride now...it feels pretty much stock...i wouldnt mind droppin it a inch more but dont know what springs will give me an inch more on thre drop it has now..i dont want it slammed but just all of the wheel well gap out...as far as the shocks and your choices i think im gonna roll with the koni reds....as far as a new suspension bushing set , i wanna swap out all the bushing that pertain to the suspension for oem rubber, or aftermarket but i wanna stay rubber to keep the ride smooth and not to harsh...any ideas on this bushing kit....dealer item or are there aftermarket companies that make rubber replacement bushings...all the advice is appreciated...thanks

cut stock springs shouldn't do any harm....it's just like getting a lowering spring...I would go with the Bilstein or Tokico blues, probably the best non-adjustable shocks out there
