'88 T3G Clutch sounds
I just purchased an '88 Teg for very little money and there are some strange sounds coming from it. First i can start it up without depressing the clutch, and when it is in idle with the clutch out it has a horrible scrapping sound. When I depress the clutch the sound goes away and the engine sounds great when i give it some gas. When i start removing my foot from the clutch the scraping begins and continues in gear for the first three gears. When i hit 4th it goes to smooth and great ride. If anyone has any ideas other than clutch let me know.
Also I am interested in alternative carpet replacements. IE ones you can do yourself like homedepot carpet and so forth. I am not sure if there is anything special i have to have. Thanks
