I don't see why people can't just admit that there way of building a car isn't the best way for everybody in the whole damn universe to copy. Just cause somebody has different taste than you don't hate. **** if you don't like it don't look at.

I think opinions do matter since it gives a different view but, just b/c someone doesnt like it doesnt mean that its wrong or whatever...its just like clothes everyone has different tastes and styles...thats what makes us all unique

taste in cars is definitely subjective, but some of the cars i see in this forum just.....NO, thats all they are is just no, wrong in every sense of the word and they make the rest of us look bad.

Hmmm, so when someone posts pictures of their car on a message board viewed by over 300,000 people, and says "pics of my car, what do you think?" or "new pics, opinions?" Nobody should speak their mind? There is in fact, quite a few bandwaggoners on HT, but that's part of life. If you don't want to hear bad stuff said about your ride, don't post it, plain and simple.

I wholeheartedly agree, but some people get so defensive when they ask for your opinion, and it's not what they want to hear. Personally, I enjoy sites like this who opt for the more "clean" look instead of the cheezy "ricer" look. Sites like these help give the import scene credibility, instead of lameness. I even see domestic guys on this site, and you know why - Because we show intelligence and knowledge about our cars and what we do. Here we dont badmouth the domestic drivers, and we aren't all about big wings and body kits. If someone asks me about their car, and I dont like what I see, I am sure as hell going to tell them, good or bad.

I personally prefer a clean look myself also, but I'm not touching the "ricer" comment 'cause the definition of what's considered "rice" seems to have been overcome with the "sheep" mentality as well, and it seems to change daily.

As far as offering opinions on what other people's cars look like, I think if they think they're going to be overly sensitive about the possibility of negative responses, well then they shouldn't ask. I like input, positive or negative, as far as my sparing appearance mods are concerned.

People who start those types of posts need to think about it like a woman's "Does this outfit make me look fat?" question: ok, so you're asking, but do you REALLY wanna know?
