What is it (rather, what does it do)?

It's bolted to the passenger side footwell.

Atmospheric pressure sensor, determines you cars altitude. So your ecu can make adjustments. In OBD1 cars this sensor is located inside the ecu.

In OBD1 cars this sensor is located inside the ecu.
So how does this affect those that have converted to OBD1? Can they just pull out the OBD0 one toss it in the trash?
