Forecast for the Future?
I was wondering.......How much do you guys think the Type R will be worth in lets say 10 years from now. Do you feel that It will be a collectors item? It sounds weird to think that one day I could have classic plates on my R.. ...... I know this isn't tech related but I wasn't sure where else to post this question.

In 10 years, I bet the car won't be worth that much. It'll be worth more than the other integras of it's vintage....a lil less than $8k. mebbe... By that time, most of the R's still in existance will be stored away in peoples garages.
Most collector cars don't start to increase in value again until they are about 20 yrs old. But they do usually depreciate at a slower rate then other cars built at the same time.
Cheese~ who hopes to buy an R again in about 10 years.

Progressive already lists my 97 R as a classic or collector (or something like that) on my policy.
Now I just have to make sure to get it appraised when it's finished for replacement insurance purposes. Ed

I view the DC2 ITR as the original ITR and will hold its value because of its significance. Pretty much like the original BMW E30 M3 compared to its subsequence E36 and E46 M3's.
I feel like i'm going to be one of those guys who go crazy and spend mad $$$$ on trying to buy back their cars from their youth and restore them. Thats probably why I won't ever sell it.........The way I see it..........I'm prepared for my mid life crisis.........I'll just jump in the Yellow Rice Rocket Old Man Style and Cruise.....MEEP MEEP
If it's an unmolested Integra, it will have good value in the future. Unmolested being; if it does have modifications the owner was smart enough to keep the original parts, no accident history, low miles, and original paint. Along with just simply taking care of the car as far as maintenance, and interior condition. Once I graduate and start my career, I'm gonna try my best to find a pristine '97 with good miles...
using the technology that local weather forecast relies on.
, i predict average type r holding same value as any honda out there, except low milage and completely stock itrs, but probably decades from now on.. kinda like 50-60's muscle cars they sell for $80,000-$120,000 or more.
