Did Honda-Tech get rid of member's corner? I'm trying to post, but can't. What going ON here?

yes they did, it's gay if you ask me, but whatever the choice that they made, it was done for a reason... yet i do agree when he said something liek "members corner is now down, heaven forbid you use this site for what it's original intent was... honda technicla information"

My posting at Members Corner if it goes back online is probably over or be really limited (e.g. meets), I might just stick with the Tech and Classifieds post. I don't really agree on what is going on but I am just a freebie user of this board and I benefited quite a bit.

 

wow, member's corner I believed, really helped the honda-tech community get closer together. I hope they don't get rid it.

 

some people abuse the use of the members corners. i agree with what dustin has done... sucks... but its his move. after all... he and mike are the ones who created and pay for this site...

Obviously you guys aren't MC regulars. Sometimes things get a little ouf of hand in there and things that just have no place on HT are brought up.

You guys gotta learn to read better, the mods on this board do a great job and wouldn't just close a forum and leave you hanging w/ out an explanation.

I already miss posting in Member's Corner and interacting on OT subjects. Hopefully it'll be back up soon. There's quite a few people that just signed on to Honda-Tech specifically for Member's Corner.

 

03 some of us don't have the luxury of reading the entire contents of Honda-tech. Nor do some of us care to. I missed that post that you posted about shutting down MC. I understand your point, however you can't possibly think that everyone in the internet community will "behave" to the rules. Maybe it is time to have the true Honda-tech members start paying a fee. This will eliminate most of the nuisance on MC. This is just my opinion and I didn't appreciate you telling me that I gotta learn to read better.

 

I think members corner was pretty sweet here a year or two ago, but went way down hill since then. I won't really miss it.

Well I'm sorry for wording it harshly. If you take offense to that though I suggest you stay out of MC if it re-opens, flaming in there can get pretty bad sometimes.

You did say though that you were trying to post in MC and you couldn't. I just figured if you're in there you would see the very top thread in there saying why MC was shut down.

 

I miss it already.

 

i've been on this board a hell of a long time....first time i've seen dustin get that irratated. people gotta learn not to question mods/admins. i miss the members corner, but not the stupid antics that went on in there.

 

This is precisely what were trying to tell the admins, but they wanted censorship...most people wanted free speech. For some reason or another (which I still can't understand) this irritated Dustin, and he closed the whole place down.

I don't kow whats gotten into the mods lately, but a lot of them areon a control frenzy.

 

i also agree. however, i do know that it was just getting a little too out of control in there. id say good call on Dustin's part, at least to take a chance and establish some rules for posting in there.

 

It's cause they ARE in control. People seem to forget that sometimes and think this is a democracy. It's pretty much what they say goes and if you don't like there are other message boards out there.

 

I think he should've warned all of us before he took action.

I'm pretty sure if he had announced that he'd take the Member's Corner down if it was abused, everyone would've chilled and followed Dustin's rule.

But instead, he just took it down without even telling us about it.

Hope it comes back up soon!

 

i hope they realize that there are going to be WAY too many OT threads in every forum from now on -- H-T is going to end up in even more disarray when technical questions will get a response with something like "in da' butt!!"
