hood pins on C/F hood for D/R

this may be a dumb ? but is it required that you have hood pins on carbon fiber hoods to drag race??? some1 told me that you must have them?????

i think nira makes u ?? not sure though. i know at some drags here they made us have hood pins on them.
good for a cf hood anywa
