weird problem..
Have an idea of what is causing this, but second opinion ownz:
If I`m at a standstill and I make a hard left, into a parking spot or something, there is a "pop" sounds that comes from the left hub area. When I straighten the wheel out it`s now 45 degrees off. Eventually it pops back, but it`s done it while the car is on the move, which is kinda scary
Whatcu think?

Damn that is very scary.... The popping sound usually means that your Joint/boot is going bad, but sometimes there is a series of pops. I never head of the wheel moving... I have replaced this on a civic and it was very easy... hopefully this is your problem.

oh...that is weird. So the car then goes straight, but the steering wheel is all out of whack? It isn't going to be anything related to the CV's..... I would bet your steering rack is worn...
You don't have an aftermarket steering wheel on there do you? ...though I don't think it would make a difference.
I would stop driving the car till I found out what was wrong if I were you.
Cheese~

so you mean to say when the front wheels are aimed in such a way that the car goes straight ahead, the steering wheel is 45 degrees from where you'd exepect it to be? What kind of wheel do you have on it, is there a quick release or anything? and is there a way to get the wheel back to normal for a time? that's crazy...
I had a simliar problem years ago on my GSR. I had just installed camber kits and every time I hit a good bump, it would throw the alignment off. The car would still track true, but the steering wheel was off kilt. I never did really find out what was wrong since the problem kind of went away.
Best bet, jack up the front of the car and see if you can move the wheels/tires while the steering wheel is locked... if so find ou there the slack is, either in the ball joint or the rack.

the only wierd problem you have is that your a sammy "*****" haggar fan.....
btw, craig has a great idea....locking the wheel and checking for play in the joints sounds like a great place to start. Doesn't sound like an axl(e) (rose) problem to me at all.
nick, who's two crown and cokes deep this afternoon

do this. i can't see it being anything other that the rack or a ball joint.my $5 is on the rack.
Yah, we have a cali king bed. you can sleep in the middle. haha
see ya in 34 hours.......well, 35 I've got to stop and get a handle of Crown and a case of "bull" for the road trip
steering rack/tie rods. my cressida used to do the same thing. It was cool though, to center the wheel if it were angled left you just did a quick right swerve and it'd be lined right up again perfectly
