Actually this transmission came out of a CRX SiR, which was only produced in canada, the motor was the b16a1, which is a DOHC Vtec with around 168 hp

Uh...the Canadian SiR is equivalent to a USDM Si. They never had a b16a powered 88-91 civic/crx. Back to the topic...the A1 trans is from a USDM integra LS.

Man that is all wrong. There was a "b16a1" but its from the Euro VT and it is only rated at 150hp. But he's talking about the trans, which has already been answered.

you might not want to run a b16 tranny .. depends on what you plan to do with the motor .. if you want to go all motor then b16 tranny is great .. if you plan to go turbo or nitrous stay with the LS tranny .. i personally prefer the LS tranny .. i had a b16 tranny but i couldent take highway driving with it .the high rev is a killer .but at the same time it get up alot faster that a LS tranny.
