GS-R's and Type-R's are made from Japan aren't they? Hence the "J" in the Vin #.

Grab a manual tranny you'll feel a big difference. Its probably cheaper then trying to get some kind of custom torque convertor. I maybe wrong but autos are no fun, grab a stick =D

They did have automatic GSR's in Japan, so everyone...RELAX! If youre not sure about something, dont hate on someone/something so much! GSR/SiRG blah blah...we all know what he means, lets not get too nitpicky here
You would have to assume that he got the car from Japan, as Im not sure if cars in Jamaica come directly from Japan normally, although I have an inkling they do.

There is an S in the VIN (check the Helms manual for details) and it represents manufacture in Suzaka, Japan.

Ok have everyone finish yapping and bashing my car yess it a automatic SIR from out of Japan. Now i thought this honda-tech is a site that help with car tweaking... not to help bash people's cars.
Anyway my questions are:
1. what is the defference between the GSR and the SIR or SIR-G is it cams or what
2. You guys have not help in giving any help in what i asked for any help is appreciated thank.
3. Is it better to put on a B16 gearbox or a B18C LSD gearbox which will run better
as honda SIR gearboxes are a rare commodity in Jamaica and the cost for them in the states are like $2270 US
