Question about opening head up to 86mm.
I am a FI guy, but i am building an all motor project on the side. I am sleeving my spare gsr block and overboring it to 86mm. I am also sending the head to portflow to get the standard P&P, but opening up the combustion chamber to 86mm to match the bore size. I wanted to know if any of guys had an idea what the compression will drop, or know of a calculation i can do. I am anticipating ordering 13.5:1 compression since the compression drop is at least .4, and the b16a head will drop it by another .2. I wanted around 12.5:1~13:1 comp.
I forgot to ask when i got off the phone with them this afternoon. I just wanted to see if anyone had an idea on here, i probably will call tomorrow and see. SGT, I will need you for tuning on my boosted 2.0L project this spring. What is your schedule, when and how do i make an appointment. I would be coming from the philly area. The car will be street wideband tuned, and pretty much set-up except for the final tweaking.
