Default New clutch/flywheel combination and differences

Hey sorry for the confusing topic title, I didn't know what else to put. Anyway...

I need a new clutch real soon and I also would like to purchse a new flywheel (lightened) while i'm at it. I have a few questions

Is there a proper combination to go for? I don't know how to properly prase this question, but like if I were to get a lightened fly wheel what kind of clutch would I have to go for? Say I get a 10lb flywheel would I have to get more than a stage 2 clutch, or does it even matter?

Also, what would probably be the best route for me to go as far as clutch and flywheels are concerned? I have no modifications on my car except for the all mighty 10.3mm plug wires ( ). I would like something like a stage 2 clutch, but would be a good wieght for a flywheel?

Sorry another question. I know nothing about brands and quality of clutches or flywheels so could someone point me in the right dircetion of good brands and some good prices?

Thanks alot guy/girls!

Flys and clutches are independant. Mix and match...No problems

I like the ACT. I have (extreme pressure plate and street disc) but if I had no mods I'd go with the heavy duty one (if planning on modding) and the street disc.
Costs about the same as OEM.

I have the UR flywheel. Expensive, but I love it. Wish I did it earlier.

What are some prices i'm looking at, and where to buy? Also, Ii'm preety sure that the tranny needs to be dropped in order to install these parts and if it's true, then how much did you pay or would think it costs in order for a shop to do it?

Thanks for the given information and i'm still up for ideas.

Straight from my website:

Got the clutch (ACT) from http://www.modacar.com PN HA3-XTSS

Got the flywheel (Unorthodox) from http://www.coastalmotorsports.com PN 060610200 (94-97 Accord)

sohfast.com also has good prices on ACT.

sohfast will also buy the stock fly for $75!!!!

I have a Fidanza 8lb flywheel and a Action kevlar disk clutch just waiting to be installed, I'll post a review in a few weeeks hopefully. While we're on the topic, niedejb did you have TDC marks on your flywheel to set the timing? I have the flywheel but I'm not sure what to look for.

I heard someone else mention this.

No timing marks are needed.

I use the crank pulley to set my timing. Dont know about you but I dont want to pull the tranny just to check the timing.
