As an avid reader of the SMS vs Hytech fiasco - I thought I would add some more fuel to the fire....

I'm in the middle of designing an exhaust system to go with a Hytech header I recently bought used from a local racer. I'm not a fan of the twin-loop exhaust for a basically track only car - as I currently have the Mugen version and know that although it sounds great - weight is an issue.

My local exhaust guy is going to fab up a custom 2.5" OD stainless system using Burns stainless race exhaust for the rear part.

I was reading through their website and see they have a very nice S2000 turbo header.

Anybody know much about these guys??

I believe they are made by Burns, not Hytech.

Fuel to what fire? I think everyone feeling like they needed to "take sides" was what fueled the fire. It was never about one header builder trying to prove he was better than the world, that was the joke.

I think that header looks cool. I like any exhaust builders that do wild out of the ordinary things to try and be better then the next guy.

I do believe Burns has been in business longer than Hytech

Those anti-reversion chambers are not Hytech's invention - Jim Feuling has the patent that Hytech licenses.

I sure wish Akrapovic or Yoshimura would make stuff for Honda cars...

 

but then people would talk **** and start arguements about them on the internet. sounds like fun!

The "fire" is the discussion of header design, and competition - which has been ongoing for several months now. I thought it was obvious.
