Help... 94 Accord speedometer works, but odometer stopped.
I've got a 94 Accord LX. Has anyone come across a situation where the odometer stopped working but the speedometer still works? Any ideas how to troubleshoot and resolve?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Same here. 96 LX. Hmm....I'm just riding it out. I have yet to open it but my mechanic said that it can just be a broke gear. I will open it up within the upcoming week and I'll let you know.
i had that problem to for about 1 year, i just bought a junked one and swapped the whole piece out
is the easiest thing to do... theyre cheap
did you put white faced gauges in? sometimes the needles will get stuck.
also, i read your signature, any dyno numbers or pics?

I've seen that problem once on my car. It started when I got my windshield replaced. I figure somehow a small piece of glass got in there, and the odometer jammed at every 100km. I had to gently tap on the cluster hood, and it re-started working. Problem stopped by itself after 6000 miles.

No white gauges, most of the car is still stock. I want to keep it a sleeper. Sorry, I messed up my web page, but you can cut and paste the url's below to see pics of the car. I don't have a pic of the dyno chart, but it did 183 HP, 198 ft-lb torque at 7 psi. I need to do a few more things to it before I get a proper tuning.

sometimes my odometer experiences the same problem, all i do is simply push the reset button for the "trip" odometer and it ususally gets things going again
Thanks. I tried that once. I'll try it again... maybe push it a few more times. I've even tried slapping the dashboard... no luck.
The motor was changed about a year ago. I'm wondering if the odometer cable slipped out (assuming that it is cable-driven). The maintenance guide that I have doesn't discuss it. Any ideas as to where this cable is connected? Is it easy to find? I hear it's connected somewhere on the tranny.
