This is Civic_Sista I am getting a white 2002 Si! I will be picking her up in about a month, that is if I can get my money saved up. Is there anything I should look out for on the car? Tell me the good and bad about this car.....

get an 03 unless you can find a deep discounted 02

 

My firend just picked up a 02 for 15K. It had 900 miles on it. I guess someone had bought it and could not afford it so they returned it and it is classified as a used car. If you ask me he got very lucky.

What I thought about the car: Very nice car from the outside to the interior. Handles good too.

What I wish it had: More power.

If you pick one up you won't be disaponted.

 

Hi if you are willing to drive down to IL I have a freind who works at a Honda Dealership just outside of Chicago. He told me the manager will accept any reasonable offer on their 02's because they have like 8 of them. If you want to contact him let me know and I will send you his information. Oh and when I say reasonable I mean very cheap!

I got my black '02 Ep for 16k out the door, including "dealer" fees, tax, etc. Plus Honda has that 1.9% financing till the end of February. The price I got was the lowest I could work out at about 4 dealerships in South Florida, but maybe you could work out a better price. Good Luck!

my friend just got an 03 for 17600 out the door 200 under the dealer invoice. I know its not any deep discount but since i have been in it quite a few times i have a new respect for them. Very solid car.... i give it high regard and recommend buying one if ur in the market. plus w/the new hondata ecu reflash its gonna be a beast.

 

I test drove an 02 not too long ago. The exterior is nice, but most of the ones I saw had varying gap sizes on the front bumper. Not sure if this is isolated to the dealership I went to as I haven't gone to others to take a look. Otherwise, all else is nice. I love the way the back looks when it's lowered, has some wider meats, and exhaust. The interior is VERY nice, especially the SEATS!...I love those SEATS!!! They're very supportive and give a similar feel to the JDM DC2-R and DC5-R seats. They're narrower than the RSX seats, which is nice, and hold u much better in place during cornering.

Wish list for improvements: wider wheels and tires (15x6 aint gonna cut it w/ those crappy tires), better brakes (the brakes just didn't seem up to par for the heft of the car), and more power would be nice, but it's decent and a great deal for the price.

 

my bud got one for 14,800 without tax and invoice and stuff. the interior is reeeally nice and ergonomic. but i don't know what you guy are thinking, the exterior is kinda sick. the front is horrible. the headlights are waaay too big. it's not a bad car, but i think it doesn't look too great. but still it is over all a good car.
go get one!

i know someone here in Southern CALIFORNIA that got his for $14,500 out the door!
i have also been shopping around, and many dealers are telling me they could do $14,600 or less!...and thats just walking in and talking to them

 

People speak a lot of crap about the new SI, but I'm telling you, that's the car I would want to buy if I was in the market.

 

come on guys, i kinda doubt people are getting them under $15? that's a bit crazy. i got my 02 for $17,5k back in aug last year and it's worth the penny. i'm just getting bored from the power but there are some power mods out for it.

 

I paid 15.6 --- everything included --- last november.

It also had included for that price the 15 spoke honda accessory wheels, front clear bra, tinted windows, and the si logo floor mats.

I see NO problem getting one (stock) for under 15K --- especially anyone with 02s left --- I mean 04s are how far away? not very!
