tie rod bushings out?
i put pads on the front of my 90 hatch the other day and ever since then when i brake the steering wheel shakes on the driver side only. the car isnt out of alignment. it'll only shake if you're going kinda fast ( 45 mph and above). the faster you are going before you brake, the harder it'll shake. any thoughts?

yeah, tie rod ends!!! the best way i can describe it is that it sounds like a part is loose when i brake and when i hit bumps. it's on the driver side. my neighbor is sayin tie rod ends and my cousin and g/f are sayin loose suspension. i'll look today after school when i get my car back. thanks for the help so far

most likely if you feel vibration under braking, its because you warped the rotors. get the rotor turned, or polish it up with some abrasive material. read this article if you want to know why.

because you mentioned you just put new pads in, its most likely a warped rotor. it happens when you dont bed the pads in correctly and go a bit crazy on "testing" them out too early.
the other reason you would experience vibration is that the tie rod end jam nut is loose. check that. or, the castle nut is no longer tight, take out the cotter pin and see if you can torque the nut a bit more, NOT A LOT! just see if its loose, dont over torque it (if you dont have a torque wrench, just enough for no need for any strength) remember to put the cotter pin back in.
