skunk2 SS installation how-to
okay... i need a lil help on my installation. i have the SS on already but i have sum questions cuz i think i messed up a little.
okay first question is that do i have to use the 2 stock rubber rings that were on the bottom of the stock shifter?
and secondly... wuts the order on how to put all the washers and spacers on when i have the shifter and linkage in place. i have it like this:
allenscrew end/linkage/washer/spacer/shifter/spacer/BIGspacer/washer/linkage/locknut. main question being is that if the washers are supposed to be on the outside of the linkage or the inside. i wish i can jus take a pic of it cuz this maybe sound confusing to everyone. but if anyone can help me out i would appreciate a whole lotta!

You do not use anything from the stock shifter, except that plastic piece that goes around the pivot ball. The point of the washers and spacers is to get the bottom part of the shifter the same width as the bottom of the stock shifter. If everything fits together okay with the way you have it now, then leave it. If you put the washers outside the linkage, then there would be empty space inside the linkage on that throughbolt, which would translate to rattling. I have seen the hardware that comes w/ the Skunk2 SS and it is high qualtiy stuff.
rite on for the info patrick. i maybe jus have to loosen the bolt up a lil then cuz that thing feels tite and its like i have to force it into gear. well imma mess with it rite now and tell u the outcome.

when you are done, make sure to tighten everything down real tight so you don't get any rattle later. It sucks to figure that out after you've already taken your car off the stands and put it all back together.
