well if I dont get a gsr anytime soon I have a 2000 type R on hold for me in june when it comes of lease from this guy that 65years old and never passes 4grand, so Imhappy, I can get my hands on a non dawged type r (this was possible cause my dad finance mang. at acura).

But here inlies my question when I get it, to reduce the appeal to theives, I want to take all the type R stickers off.
what do yall think?

 

i think people who know what they want are gonna take it either way

 

blow dry it for a lil and peel it off i was successful on the back sticker but messed up on the sides...only the top part of the sticker came off and the adhesive got left on the sides

 

Goo gone will take that sticky residue off like magic.

Just FYI though, if the car is yellow it won't make a sh*t of a difference with or without badging.

dont take them off. car looks like its been repainted and new stickers were never put on when u do that. keep it original. its a real typer so its okay to have the stickers

I would only take it off if you have a black type r. Any other color is worthless.

If you're worried about theft you'll have to do a little more than take off the stickers. 5 bolt lug pattern, gunmetal wheels, and all that red stitched interior in the car with Type-R plaque screams violate me, I'm a Type-R! Anyway, Integras are still one of the most stolen cars. Unless you can turn it into another car, whatever you do won't have much effect. Or maybe you could exchange the Type-R decals to APC decals? Then any criminal would get so sick that he wouldn't be able to steal it?

 

It doesn't matter if you have the stickers on or off.....just tonight I was at my gf's house and the stunna's next door with their 89 civic hatchbacks and rs integras said that my Type R wasn't real and my car is totally stock with stickers and all....so the point is..do watcha like, but it makes no difference.

 

I took mine off because I feel it gives the car a sleeker overall look. I'm not trying to fool anyone, It's PY so it can't really be disguised. I just like the overall appearence without any decals. I still get swamped by the local rice boys asking if it's a real R whether the stickers are on or off, I just tell em, no, it's fake. Dumb asses

Taking off the decals will not make your car any less appealing to the theives. I say just leave it, it's a part of the car, and face it, if the theives really want it, then they're gonna get it. I've had my ITR for a year and half now, and i never took off my decals, and it hasnt been stolen yet. Just get an alarm, compustar if possible.

 

The real theives will always know what kind of car it is. The petty and ricer ways may not know any better. You can't get away with everything.

see some people would know that was still an R by no side moldings..i noticed it before scrolling down
