Wheel offset and tires - ????

Wheel offset and tires - ????
I have aquired a set of of rims 17 x 7 +38 offset. I am lowered almost 2 inches. IS 205 40 17 the correct size me? or 215 40 17, what about 215 45 17? Kinda of confused here with this. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ok figured it out, I need a 215/40/17 tire but is that gonna rub with a +38 offset?

I have 225/35/18 with 40 offset on my 93 accord and I'm lowered almost 2"
Most tire dealers will help you find and test fit the right size! I know Les Schwab does!
