cutting the bumpstop
i am helping my friend put in shocks for his 2001 accord coupe. he already had eibach sportline installed, but when we were taking apart the shock assembly, i noticed he had not cut his bumpstop.
i told him to cut it, but he said it rode fine before. anyways, we installed the shocks, without cutting the bumpstop. could this damage the shocks in the long run? i've always been advised to cut the bumpstop when dropping a car.
any replies is much appreciated.

I cut the bumpstop on mine and everyone I know has too. I don't think that it would damage the shock if you didn't.

If you lower your car and change your springs and stuts, you need to cut the bumpstops in order to get the full suspension travel as if it were still stock like.
