Default painting the intercooler

does anybody know if painting the intercooler black would cause a reduction in airflow. i want to go for the sleeper look. any suggestions?

It will not effect performance in anyway. I have a painted intercooler and would not have it anyother way. Its bad enough owning a Honda attracting trolls (once broken into before turbo/intercooler install). I don't need shiny objects leuring them closer. IMO Painted intercoolers are the way to go

use a search.....


but try to use radiator paint, its thin enough that it shouldnt cause problems

i believe i wrote a post on this, and i have a few pics of my black intercooler on the red teg it looks really good and its easy to do

you can hardly tell i have one..... good idea i think, unless you feel like showing your stuff off.

it's simple, just make sure you mask off the fins...
depending on the paint you use, you might have to re-spray every now and then.
