how to put a b series TB on a D16A6 intake
hey
you can use a 1st gen b16 tb on a a6 intake but you have to do some fabrication.
3 of the 4 b16 tb holes ALL MOST line up these are the top 2 and the bottom right. So all you have to do for those is redrill the holes to line up.
The forth hole bottom left isn't even close and you actually have to drill through one of the air passeges and grind around it to get a nut on the stud. Then you have to use JB weld or some kind of filler to fill the passeges you drilled through to stop any leaks.
Here are some pics from my dohc zc intake(zc and a6 have the same tb pattern) it looks ghetto but it works so it doesn't matter. This is the first one I did and kinda fucked it up but if you have a nice drill press you can do a nicer job and not use as much JB weld I didn't have drill press and did everything with my Makita 1/4" die-grinder.
