wtf is up with my clutch ?!..
seems like you forced induction guys know a bunch about clutches, and seeing as how my instant messages arent working for some reason i decided to make this thread and wondering if you guys could help me out..
okay.. i've had this problem since the day my exedy clutch was installed.. i dont know if they installed it wrong or what not, but the clutch feels like an absolute piece of crap since day one.. it doesnt grab at all.. rides itself... and i have 1st gear chatter with an EXEDY ORGANIC clutch which is barely stiffer than stock.. but im about to change all this i recently ordered a act xt/ss for my forced induction setup.. anyhow.. my problem is.. that my clutch pedal has no freeplay.. that 1/4 inch of freeplay i once had is no longer available after i installed this POS clutch.. it sticks down and i have to lift my pedal back up and once i press my clutch in the freeplay sticks and doesnt come back up.. i dont know if its something up with a spring or my pushrod but i would really appreciate some help.. anyone in the so. cali area that can fix this and install my act clutch will be rewarded

yeah...prolly ur slave cylinder...gotta bleed the clutch...the problem might be there is too much air so the hydrolic pressure isn't enough to fully release the pressure plate, so that might be ur chatter causing...and i live in so-cal..but i ain't installing ur clutch
It sounds like a clutch cylinder problem. My parents told me that they couldn't get their Accord to go into gear. I tried to drive it one day and I couldn't get it out of the garage. When I stepped on the clutch pedal, the pedal stayed on the floorboard and wouldn't come up. I had to pull it back to its normal position with my foot. When I tried to step on it again, same result; pedal stuck on floorboard. I tried stepping on it to see if it would push back, but didn't. In its normal position the pedal had no resistance at all. The car wouldn't even go into gear. I tried bleeding it with same result. Come to find out both the clutch master and slave cylinders went bad and had them replaced. Worked fine after that.
You may want to try bleeding the clutch. If after bleeding the clutch it still persists, like someone else said, it may be one of the cylinders. hth.
