Went to the local Test and tune last night, and just by chance there was a funny car event this weekend, well looking around the Pontiac grand am and the car is incredible. I mean the technology and everything that went into it blew me away and changed my perspective on the cars. I then watched it run half way down the track where it started to lose traction and still ran 8.79. The sound was awesome and watching it just literally rocket off the line was really something,
anyways just wanted to share a good experience and opinion changer. Anyone who says funny cars are nothing compared to Lemans cars needs a

 

top fuel anything... be it funny car, or rail is amazing!! no other motor sport produces more horspower. you are talking about 7000 horsepower, speed, and sound have got to be the most incredible auto racing spectacle ever!! if you search around there was a recent post on H-T with some top fuel facts... check it out when you get a moment, and you will see just how awesome those cars are!!
