Drag racing is better because you have no fear of cops, a safety crew on hand, no possibility of killing anyone but yourself, and any punks (i.e. idiots doing donuts) are nonexistent.

Besides, at the track you get numbers as a result. That way you'll know what aspects of your racing you'll have to work on such as r/t, 60 ft, etc.

Definately the track. You get the lowdown on other cars' times, and you get to test your own driving abilities. Street racing can be fun, but thats mainly just an ego thing IMO.

Personally i think drag and Auto X is the way to go .. DRag doesnt take as much skill as Auto Xing but it is still fun. Street racin i do everynow and then when i see a good match up at a stop light .. I do have a few tickets so i try to stay on the track if you know what i mean. Attending Auto X this weekend actually..

Racing should be kept on the track. I know this cause I just got back from traffic court for a speeding ticket i got, I was doing 41 miles over the speed limit. When you street race, you disregard your safety and the safety of others.

to above statement...i saw first hand last weekend, a jackass went through a concrete wall with 3 passengers. drank a little before that, decided to pass me and my friend, ran a red light, freaked out, slammed on the brakes, flew over the curb, went through the wall, car got stuck in the middle totaled, girl passenger went into shock....my friend & i were about to beat him and his friend down, too bad the cops got there before we got a chance.

I have to agree with the drag strip. Not only do you get to race in an organized safe way but you actually have time slips to guage your improvement. In either case keep it safe out there.

I think that dragging takes as much skill as Auto Xing, just a different kind of skill...
I've taken guys who supposedly had "SKILLS" on the drag track, and watched them knock over 20+ cones AutoXing in one run. And I've seen AutoX drivers take their bone stock cars to the legal Drags, and break fools off.
Either way, keep it off the streets.
