Default aftermarket axles or no?

i was thinking about going with a set of aftermarket axles (prodrive, dss, etc.) but, when doing so, if the axles don't give, would something else in the drivetrain give? such as the transmission or differential?

i have a quaife and i'm not sure if it could hang with a set of aftermarket axles but, this is a large concern because this is a daily driver and i figure, if maybe 3 sets of axles are broken, i would have almost shelled out the same amount for a set of aftermarket axles

Good question... never even thought of that... maybe because my car's basically stock... and so I won't have to think about that for a while.

Dude, you got a Quaife, it won't break. And if it does you can send t back and it will get replaced for free!!!! Get some axles and you'll be alright... Hope this helps.

Later,

Sean C.

shouldn't be a problem. I haven't heard of tranny problems except the Synchros going crazy on you. But thats about it man.

what if you have an OEM lsd in your tranny(jdm YS1), would the lsd hold with about the same amount of hp running aftermarket axles?

not needed but why would you not upgrade that if your going to upgrade other parts of the drive train.... yeah you won't have to worry about breaking axles anymore but you will break the next weakest link and that will be your stock diff.... trust me i know... ask littlebluecrx and he will tell you....
