When i start adjusting valves i should start at TDC right and adjust cylinder #1. So that means 2 exhaust valves and 2 intake valves right? do the 2 exhauast valves then the 2 intake. The book says to turn the pulley 180degrees which turns the camshaft 80degrees then cyl.3 then 4 then cyl.2(firing order)
i believe book says valve specs for D16A6 crx si -- intake .007-.009 exh. .009-.011

Yup thats how I do mine accodring to HELMS.

 

I thought you were supposed to do the intake valves first... ah well.

 

You got the steps right.

When you're done that, go back over and check them all a second time. Sometimes i find when there's a little bit of pressure on the rocker arm, it'll make 9 thou, turn into 11 or 12... and sometimes you won't notice that if you've never done it before.

You only do it once, when you do it right Good luck.

 

Just an update i did the valve adjustment...everything pretty straight forward, the intake valves were hell to get to and adjust. My first time doing it myself and only took me a little over an hour. BTW be careful i busted my knuckle and dripped blood all over my dc header. oh well
