Default b16a2(sirII).....94 civic ex (92-95 civic)

i have some questions about this swap...mainly obd differences ( i know mine is obdI...sirII is obdII right? ). So i have read to change injectors, dist., and i think ecu (chipped)...to get the b16a2 running right, i'm just making sure, is this correct? What about a obdII > obdI conversion harness, will it work as well?

ok...the rear motor mount also needs to be from a 94+ gs-r, now do most places that sell swaps sell this mount with the motor (i.e. Hmotorsonline)? Basically do they sell the swap to fit the car? or is a swap sold as is....meaning buying extra parts to get it to work...?

I think thats about it.....about half is questions and the other half confirmation....
I've already searched through 30+ pages.....Thanks in advance.

no the SiR II is OBD1 it was found in 92-95 civic hatches (the SiRII) in japan.

the b16a2 is 99+ and its obdII. the SiRII is just called a b16a.

i got my swap from steve (hondamotors) and everything came with it.

If you have a EX you already have all the wires except the knock wire (one wire). Use the B16 mounts that came with the motor and plug your EX harness to the b16, run a wire from the knock to the ecu and your done.

ya man your swap is plug and play

but if your running a chipped p28 from lowcashracing ... you won't need the knock sensor to be hooked up...

no
you are better off trying to find a REAL b16a2 and doing it that way
you need to change injectors, distributor and other various things i dont remember.

not to mention converting to obdI

how come in the article in hybrid-honda.com shows a guy swapping a b16 into his EK.. he doesn't mention much about it all that. PLus the motor/car matrix they have doesn't mention any of that injector, distributor stuff. Man I was so seriously gonna buy an SiRII too.

odds are they are using b16a2's wich are DIFFRENT than SIR II's

you can use an SIR 2 if you convert to OBDI and im 99% sure you dont need to change the dist. and injectors then.

steve hooked me up at 2250? (i dont remember the exact price. it was a long time ago, all i know for sure is he knocked 50$ off shengs' price from JDMhondaparts wich was lower than steves list price.) shipping was 300$ (i hear its cheaper now)

and no i didnt need anything extra for the swap. everything worked fine that came with it

when he says complete swap, he means, complete swap.
