Nitrous in H22
hey, my friend is getting a h22 dropped into his 4gen accord pretty soon, he says he wants to just run nitrous ( 75 the most ) on it seeing as how he wants to keep the block stock until he gets much more money to build it ( a LONG time from now )...my question is, with using a NX kit, how much can he run safely without having to build ( using it frequently, as in at least twice a week ) ? i've heard you dont need to dyno tune the car when using NX is this true ? anyway..he's set on NX so if anyone using them or with nitrous knowledge can shed some light on the subject it would help..thanks
Don't know about NX but when I had my ZEX kit I ran 55hp shots on my stock gsr with intake and exhaust and straightpipe and it ran just fine. I would say 55-65 on a stock block would be fine IMO
Yes sir your right you should stick between 55-65 for safety. You can go 75 but your taking a chaance with a dry kit. My friend got away with a 100wet with his 99prelude. I Thought it would blow but he had the right fuel set up and he didn't have any problems. But you should be fine with a 50 shot but you need to retard your timing and get 2 step colder NGK spark plugs. NGK 7's
