I heard its not the money, its all the work and time it takes, i also had a friend who brought one over from japan and it took him a year to redrister, and thatwas with hook ups. If I was going to buy a rhd id just buy one thats allready done

paying someone to do it= bad idea
knowing what you're doing and doing it yourself=good idea.

it's going to cost WAY too much in labor to have someone/shp do it. Any hot rod shop could do it easily, but you'll be paying up your butt to get it done.

hahaha, everyone relizes it now? it's starting to die, slowly... it'll never go away cause you can't go wrong clean, but j-spec can also include other types of build-ups. it doesn't have to always be factory. why convert? get the car. they don't go for much. You probably like your car though so I guess you'd rather convert. it's basically the labor that causes a grip. good luck and make sure it's a quality job or the next time you make u-turn you'll be able to see how the rear end of your car looks from in your car...

I converted my 2000 EBP Coupe RHD.

These were taken at the bodyshop. After it was painted and interior installed.

Show and Go, that's the way I see it. This pic was taken at Sema. The car is in storage for the spring. Not running yet, but it should produce some good numbers when I am done.

why does steering wheel placement make a car better? if you have two cars set up totally equal, and one just has a mirror image interior and engine bay, why would one be cooler then the other? cars in america and japan are right/left hand side for functional reasons (driving in traffic-wise)

"SIXTYdashONE" Thanks for the compliment. I wish it was done, but money limits has made me stop.

"DOSPOWND" The labor for the RHD conversion was about 2500.00 without parts. The paint job which consist of shaving everything, installing my sparco gas cap, and the full color change inside and out "RSX Premium White" was 2000.00.

I did the RHD Conversion to make my coupe a little more unique. I have seen the 96-98 RHD Civic Coupe, but never saw a 2000. I tried to import one, but didn't fine one. I was told that in Japan the coupe was discontinuned in 99-00.

Thanks. I don't think driving on the other side is hard, its getting use to shifting with your left hand.

i dunno how hard it is to do...but if you've ever watched that show on MTV called "true life" or something like that, they did a thing on street racing and the guy they were followin around on the show had a right side driven integra dc2 and a right side driven crx...so i guess it's very possible if you want to do this conversion...and oh yea...last spring while i was driving to hot import nights in seattle i saw some guy drive an EG hatchback that was right side driven also

to anyone who would make a car rhd. There is no point at all to doing so and it would be a bigger waste of money than throwing all the money out the window the way i see it. At least if you throw your money out the window you dont have to wait to get the **** installed.

Just go live in Japan and take your LHD car with you... It'll achieve the same effect.

They'll be like... Yo, that shizzle is SO USDM yo!
