Default Need Help..Rev Hard Stage 2 Installation! Contains Lots of Pictures!

Ok, I recieved my Rev Hard Stage 2 Kit last week, and it did not come with any directions, so my limited turbo knowledge has been put to the test. I have figured out how to do the oil return line, and weld it into the oil pan, but I need help/confirmation on parts of the rest of the kit....

Figure 1. I Believe the blue line in the following picture connects from the side of the compressor housing to the top of the wastegate. I am I correct?

Figure 2. The next image shows part of the hardware pakage. I have numbered them to assist showing me where they go:

Where I think they go- 1. Turbo to exhaust manifold 2. 2 Studs, no idea 3. 2 bolts, no idea 4. 9 Bolts...5 to downpipe? Other 4? 5. 4 Nuts, no idea.

Figure 3. The next image is more of the hardware package:

Where I think they go- 6. Washers for turbo to exhaust manifold 7. Washers for the 9 bolts (#4) 8. Big Nut 9. Fittings that connect the blue line from the compressor to wastegate. Does A or B fit onto the wastegate? 10. Oil Fitting. Two for oil line..one out of block one into turbo. Which one fits into the turbo? Where does A go? It has 1 male and 2 female holes. Should I use teflon tape on the oil and vacuum fittings?

Figure 4. The next image is the rest of the hardware package:

11. 3-way vacuum hose connectors, where do they go? 12. Air filters, where do they go?

Figure 5. Does fitting 9A or 9B go in this hole?

Figure 6. Which way is this connecting arm suppose to face on the exhaust manifold, and does the other end bolt to the bottom, or side of the wastegate? Does the hole that it does not bolt onto on the wastegate remain open, or connect to something else?

Figure 7. Which way should the bend in the oil return line be facing?

Figure 8. Is there a fitting with 2 bolt holes that go here, or do I just leave the 2 side holes open, and pul a fitting in the middle?

Ok, a few small final questions... Should the BOV exit be facing down or up? Why is there no gasket for the downpipe, where can I find one? How do I connect the downpipe to my cat? Should there be an air filter on the compressor side of the turbo? Is there anything else that I am forgetting? I understand how to install the FMU, do I also need to buy an FPR? Also have missing link.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Matt

I think the line in A goes from teh wastegate to the intake manifold, or hte intake manifold to the BOV... i dont think its from compressor to wastegate.

1) goes to side of wastegate.. top is for EBC or MBC
2)
1) Turbo to manifold
2) for intercooler to bumper support
3) For wastegate to wastegate 90degree bent piping
4) 5 Downpipe to turbo, and 2 for wastegate90degreebentpipe to manifold, 2
for oil return line 45degree bent tube
5) nuts for wastegate and intercooler threaded studs
6) 4 washers for turbo to manifold
7) washers for all the other bolts
8) No idea.. didn't use the one I got
9) a. sideport of wastegate b. from compressor
10) a. goes into engine block.. stock oil pressure sender goes into A as well as oil line. b is for top oil port on turbo.. c I think attaches to A
YES use teflon tape on all the oil fittings and IC...

11) vacuum tees to tee manifold pressure to FMU, blow off, and maybe wastegate
12) Check valves to try and fool the map sensor.. use these in conjuction with the vacuum tees.. Might want to get a MISSING LINK.. or ditch the whole FMU setup and go standalone
FIGURE 5: LEave top port open
FIGURE 6: either puts the wastegate on it's side to fire exhaust over the turbo manifold, or points the exhaust gas down if you stand the wastegate up on the manifold.
FIGURE 7: You need to clock that turbo.. compressor side should down as should that oil return port in the center section. Bend should face the oil pan
FIGURE 8: The oil return bent pipe with gasket goes there...

BOV Face up or down... mine blows out towards the front of the car..
DP Gasket: Don't need one... 2 finished surfaces
Downpipe to cat: You need to get it welded.. preferably put a flex joint between the two.
YES.. run a filter if possible.. .or you'll start clogging up stuff (like IAC valve)
Don't need FPR.. Will need to run inline pump with that FMU (or better intank.. big argument on this).. With missing link, you can ditch those checkvalves.

dude-save yourself a headache, potential problems, and time by letting a shop do it instead... bring it to inline pro, vertex, evolution, whatever...

Ok, for the turbo itself, when bolted up, the outlet for the compressor is pointed backwards towards the motor. I have looked at a lot of setups, and the exit needs to face downwards. Can I loosen the 6 bolts on the back of the compressor to rotate it?

Thanks,

Matt
