Old News. I saw this on a SLK like 2 years ago. It will never come to North America or Europe for that matter for a long long time (10 years plus). The premis of the steering control is that of a joy stick. If you want to speed up push forward. If you want to stop pull back and etc. This will never happen because it is very difficult to keep your arm straight when excelerating, braking and turning. It is very difficult to drive straight and if you have to slam on your breaks and pull back on the stick at full speed you might turn the car at the same time and end up off the road or in oncoming traffic. There was a whole episode on motorweek about this a long time ago.

also when they make concept cars they are pretty much seeing how the people respond to the styling...notice how that looks a lot like a new cl couple...

I remember seeing that episode...
it seemed like once the people got used to nto having a steering wheel they liked it..It certainly isn't aimed at weekend racers, but has everyday commuters in mind, and for them its not all that bad of an idea
No one will see anything like that on a public road for a long time, there is a certain safety issue that will have to be looked at as well as how easy they car will be to control over a long period of time
and for those that are saying the car is ugly..its a concept car, not production..it's purpose was to develop new technology and test it out...not appeal to rice boys
