Default headlights on = high rpm

when my headlights are on in my teg my idle will stay at 1100rpm no matter how long it sits and then when i turn the headlights off it will drop to 800rpm like it should. anyone know what is causing this? thanks in advance

thats expected. your headlights take power, therefore the engine has to work harder to give it power. turn your ac on and you will see the same thing.

Might want to check the obvious first.... Maybe you need a new alternator belt cuz it could be slipping a bit
