JDM speced their 98+ ITR's at 210hp crank. 8600 is fuel cut off if use the p73 jdm ecu.

96-01 JDM ITRs are 200ps@8000rpm...always has been!
torque is a different matter though 18.5kg for 96-97 19.0 for 98+

 

They have 10+ more ft pounds of torque then us???

Does the higher octane gas and JDM header really make that much of a difference?

 

The header (one of main differences between 96 and 98+) is definately a big advantage. ECU?!?! maybe... SGT and I had a little debate going on the fuel injector sizes as well...i think the JDM motors are getting more fuel with 303cc injectors...Stephen says that they are 240cc's just like the USDM...I did a search on various site and couldn't find the answer..If anybody knows and can back it up...let me know...

no. its right.
my math was sloppy.
i didnt write it out and used 7.5 instead of 7.23 which is why my numbers were off.
