Anybody have the 2nd gear grinding prob with the rsxs 6speed? Did anybody take it to the dealership? Results? Solutions?

yeah, my cuz asked if mine did that too because his does. he thought maybe they probably fixed that problem for the 03 but didnt. he has taken his back in to the dealership plenty of times and they just said that theres nothing wrong with it or anything to help it. what I think is that its not [B]really[B] grinding but its the shifter not going in smoothly, try pulling it to the left while shifting down into 2nd, it works on mine most of the time, and i think mine is actually gone now its pretty smooth...kinda pisses me off how we pay so much but it still has some bugs in it.

 

theres Hondas shitty synchros AGAIN. Same problem, but in 3rd and 5th gear for the 99-00 Si, and the 01+ Civics. **** hondas transmissions. **** them to hell.

 

i thought they had a recall on the rsx syncro

 

porlly a silent recall, just like every other time.

 

yea my 03 type-s is tricky into 2nd when its cold, after that its fine. i dont know?

 

they talk about this problem a lot on clubrsx's forums. i haven't read thru the entire thing, but apparently it's pretty common. they *did* do a recall on the 02. Supposedly fixed w/ the 03, but apparently not. Seems to be worse when it's cold, and a few people have said that their's went away. Maybe you just need to "break it in" before it will stop.
